Yep, I failed totally. There are many excuses, but none that count. It was the chips that got me on day 71 of the 100 day challenge, and much as I have bent the rules beyond breaking point previously this is far too indulgent to let pass and I must confess that I have totally failed the challenge. I will keep on though and try to make the last 30 or so days as good as I can. I will skip the star saturday’s square of the chart, and get back on the horse.
In better news my weight this weekend, (taken before the chip incident, and the rest of the indulgent weekend away) was down another 200g, so my losses have been very steady and consistent the last three or four weeks. I’m really pleased with that.
I am getting back into exercising, my knee doesn’t hurt anymore at all, although I am stil taking it easy and building back up slowly with my running, as I REALLY don’t want to hurt it again! Today I did two 10-minute runs, and one 10-minute stint on the cross trainer.

I lost another 0.4kgs this week, taking me down to 67.6, lowest weight ever!
I’m very excited about this, and it just goes to show how much easier this all is when you can exercise! my knee is now nearly better, and I’m still doing easy non-running workouts mostly. I have been for one small easy run and am planning to do another tomorrow, my new sneakers certainly help a lot! I am not doing my stretches and exercises for my knee religiously, but I am doing them whenever I exercise which is a whole lot better than nothing.
The 100 day challenge is still going well, and has provided me with that little extra push to resist Red Rooster on the weekends, Tim Tams left in the kitchen and packets of chips on lazy days over the weekend.
I have recently had Implanon, the contraceptive implant put in. I know some people experience weight gain with this so I am really carefully monitoring my hunger and reasons why I am eating. Hopefully it won’t happen to me. I do feel a bit emotional though so that could easily lead to comfort eating, I will have to be wary.

Slowly, slowly, i am getting back on track. I wasn’t too far off track to start with, thanks to my 100 day challenge, but with a sore knee and a loss of motivation to plan and track my meals, I was struggling a bit. Last week I weighed in at 69kgs, which is up from the week before. This is partly genuine weight gain and partly TTOM. This week, thanks to fairly good eating and three or four exercise sessions, plus getting back to dancing, I am back down to 68.0kgs, which is a great feeling. Now that I’m back in the gym I hope I can keep it up and see a 67 point something on the scales next week!
This weekend I went out and bought new pants for work - both pairs are a size 10!! This is great because I was so tired of holding up my other pants with a safety pin. They look great and I’m feeling pretty good. i’ve planned my meals for the week and will track everything at the end of each day without fail.
The 100 day challenge is still going, although I was highly tempted this weekend let me tell you! If it hadn’t been for the challenge I would have had Red rooster for sure. But I’ve already modified the challenge, I’m determined not to let it go entirely!
